How can I add multiple options configs on a single product?

In most cases it is recommended to create a single product options configuration that contains multiple individual product options:

In some cases it can be useful to create multiple "Product Options" configurations and attach them to the same products via product targeting. 

Sort order

You can control the order in which the options are shown on the target product by dragging the options at the desired sort order:

Limitations

Only the design settings from the top "Product options" configuration are applied.  All style settings have to be made on this configuration.

If the live preview is active, all the setup has to be made on the first "Product options" configuration.

Troubleshoot: live preview does not appear on the product page

If you have enabled the live preview and added the app block to your product template but no preview shows up on the storefront, check whether more than one Product options configuration targets that product. Only the first configuration in the sort order can render the live preview. If a second configuration, for example a gift note or an add-on config created separately, is appearing above the one that holds your preview, the preview will not appear at all, with no error message.

To fix it, open the Product options list and drag the configuration that contains the live preview to the top of the sort order. The preview appears on the storefront immediately after saving.

This is the same rule as the design settings above: only the top (first match) configuration is applied on the product page.
