AI Assistant

The Live Product Options App has a built in AI-powered assistant to help you with your product options setup. It can understand your requirements and guide you through the process of setting up your product. Each of the following sections has its own AI-powered assistant for specific tasks.

The assistant is available on all subscription plans.

Product Options AI

To open the assistant, click on the purple magic icon in the top right corner of each section.

Attachments

Media (Images)

  • Use case: Reference images for product options (e.g., color swatches, patterns, designs)

Shopify Products

  • Select products directly from your store
  • Use case: Get product context for building custom options

Text Files (Data)

  • Formats: .json , .csv , .txt
  • Upload structured data for your product options
  • Use case: Import options data, provide configuration examples

Design AI

The design AI assistant is specialized in updating the design of your product options based on your description. It can generate custom CSS and even JavaScript for interactivity.

Image

  • Upload design mockups or reference images for the assistant to adjust the styling.
  • Upload a screenshot of the current design on your theme and ask for adjustments.

Live Preview AI

The Live Preview AI assistant is specialized in setting up a preview of your product options based on your existing product and options. To get started, we recommend to use the suggested button for "Setup live preview":

AI Image Tools

The assistant has access to AI image tools to generate and edit images for use in your preview. You can tell the assistant to use any of the following tools:

Generate Image: Creates a brand new image from a text description.

  • Use when: You need an overlay or background that doesn't exist yet
  • Example: "Modern living room with neutral walls and natural lighting"

Edit Image: Modifies an existing image based on your instructions.

  • Use when: You want to adjust colors, lighting, add elements, or change mood
  • Example: "Make the background warmer with golden hour lighting"

Remove Background: Removes the background from an image to create a transparent layer.

  • Use when: You have a product photo with a busy background you want to clean up
  • Perfect for: Creating clean overlay layers that composite well

Layer Image: Decomposes an image into separate layers (background, foreground, objects).

  • Use when: You want to edit different parts of an image independently
  • Example: Split a scene into background and product so you can adjust each separately

AI Image Credits

The AI image tools spend credits. Each subscription plan comes with 100 credits, when the credits are used up, you can purchase additional credits in the App > Settings > AI Settings section:
